The surgeons were unable to repair the leaking valve, therefore they will proceed w/ a pig-valve replacement (Stuart was assured that the pig-valve is "swine flu free"). Even though we prayed for a successful repair, the replacement is still a very positive move for Michael's future. The open heart surgery is currently underway!

The doctors were happy to report that Michael did not bleed at all which meant no transfusion and therefore at least one risk avoided.
